Chhukung to Island Peak Climbing
Island peak climbing from Chhukung is one of the greatest possibilities for trekkers doing the Everest Base Camp, Gokyo, and Three Passes treks in the Everest region. The west face of the summit is glaciated, making it difficult to climb, but it is equally rewarding with beautiful views from the top. The spectacular vistas of Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and other peaks add to the excitement of the climb. After completing any Khumbu region trip, the Island Peak from Chhukung is joined. Acclimatize via Jiri, Phaplu, Lukla, or any other corner of the Everest region by several passes such as Renjo La (5,338m), Chola Pass (5420m), Kala Patthar (5,545m), and Kongma La (5,535m), as well as trekking adventure of Island Peak climbing. We also get to see undisturbed Sherpa communities and ever-so-serene monasteries, all while reflecting on our previous expedition.
Day 01: Reach Chhukung and Meet the Guide | Altitude: 4750 M
There are few tea establishments in Chhukung because it is a small community. You could pick your own tea house in Chhukung. Our climbing crew will meet you at a specific location and time. Our climbing guide will inspect all of your gear to ensure it is in working order. After meeting with our climbing staff, you may return to your hotel and rest; the next morning, they will come to pick you up and begin the adventure. Meal: Breakfast
Day 02: Chhukung to Island Base Camp and Pre-Climbing training | Altitude: 5200 M
We begin ascending the rock culvert early in the morning (7:00 to 8:00 a.m.). The steep trail ascends up the south face of Lhotse Glacier, then turns around. A short walk along the riverbank leads to a large rock. After passing Imja and the Lhotse Glacier, the zigzag route opens up into a broad valley. The base camp, located southeast of Island Peak, is where we will pitch our tent and spend the night. With our skilled climbing guide, you can participate in pre-climbing training (practice rappelling and belaying under supervision). Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 03: Base Camp to High Camp- Summit- back to Chhukung | Altitude: 6189 M
Today is the most crucial day of the journey. From Island Peak Base Camp, we begin our journey around midnight. It's critical to get going early since we need to get on the peak before the afternoon because it gets really windy and hazy after then. Crampon Point is where you put Crampons after hiking for around 3 hours via High Camp. From 5700 m, walk up a thin icy track with the main rope to the IMJA Glacier. You hike along the ridge, holding on to the fixed rope, until you reach the summit of Island Peak. You return to the Peak Base Camp after spending some time at the summit. Celebrate your arrival at Base Camp before returning to Chhukung for the night. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

That was a fantastic adventure!!! The hike to Everest BC is one of the most beautiful I've ever done. The highest mountain views are simply spectacular. If you're looking for something more than a hike, consider climbing Island Peak. This was the most exciting experience of my life! It was difficult, but not deadly, and we were safe since we were led by professionals who had meticulously planned everything.
