Mera Peak Climbing 15 Days
Mera Peak Climbing (6,461m/21,216ft) is an amazing adventure within the serene and remote area of Khumbu and Inkhu valley. Trekkers rarely visit these valleys. There are several routes to Mera; some of them are easy to climb while some need to cross challenging and high passes. South ridge facing North and East is considered quite tough and challenging by the majority of climbers. Northeast ridge is a truly troublesome one. North-west edge and West face is possible to climb but you should remember that access to Mera by passing through West glacier known as Khare glacier is much more challenging. Either way, climbing Mera Peak is genuinely enjoyable and rewarding since the peak is one of the most celebrated tops in Nepal.
The trek begins with a scenic flight to Lukla where you will get to witness the Everest region. From here, the journey starts as you head south to Chutanga. Journeying along the Dudh Koshi River, the climb heads to Thuli Kharka prior to making a way to Thangnak. Further, the trek moves to the highest point of the Mera La Pass (5045m). After that, the journey arrives at the Mera Peak Base Camp, which offers jaw-dropping views of the Everest and Charpate Himal ranges. The climb to the summit of the Mera Peak (6461m) is somewhat challenging and stretches across the steep snowy landscape. The highest point of the pinnacle offers beautiful views on the mountains like Mt. Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho-Oyu.

MONEY & CREDIT CARD INFO
Most of the credit card, master and visa card is blocked from your card provider. It may be because of a security reason. It, sometimes, may bring you in a problematic situation that you can't get money from ATMs. To find yourself free from this problem, you can call your card provider before you travel to Nepal and inform there that you are traveling to Nepal. Ensure them to give the authorization for the payment. In Nepal, 3.5 % service charge is applicable as per Nepal Bank rules, on top of your payable amount for the trek cost. So, we suggest you bring some cash in USD just in case your card doesn’t work. Likewise, be sure you have brought some small amount for your daily expenses as well as for those items which are not included in our cost. If you want to exchange money, we provide you with the facility to change your money. Or, you can take help from Money Changers in Thamel.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
While traveling to Nepal, you are requested to have travel insurance that should cover any comprehensive expenses possible to acquire due to medical issues or accidents. Especially, your travel insurance must protect air ambulance, treatment charges, rescue and evacuation, product cancellation and refundable charges, flight delay, and cancellations.
Insurance Policy:
Traveling in the Himalayas is full of adventurous; hence it is wise to choose a proper insurance policy. While choosing your insurance policy, make sure that it will protect all such unforeseen expenses. You must ensure that the policy you do take provides an adequate level of protection, well familiar with your itinerary and covers you for the activities involved. You must carry proof of insurance (e.g. your insurance certificate) with you on the holiday or send us a scanned copy and it must be issued from your homeland.

VACCINATION FOR NEPAL

(Your doctor or the health-care provider will determine what you will need, depending on factors such as your health and immunization history, areas of the country you will be visiting, and planned activities). For traveling to Nepal, we recommend you to take vaccination of Polio, Tetanus, Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Rabies, etc. However, it is not mandatory but recommended.
ALTITUDE SICKNESS (ACUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS)
Altitude sickness, also known as AMS (acute mountain sickness), is caused by a lack of oxygen at high altitudes (normally above 3,000m). It occurs as the result of our bodies’ inability to adapt to a sudden increase in altitude. If given time, our bodies will adjust and a gradual ascent will decrease the possibility of altitude sickness.
PREVENTION OF AMS: Go slowly, drink a lot of water, and pay attention to the sensations of your body. If symptoms occur you have climbed too far for the day. Rest at the same altitude will give you time to acclimatize and usually relieve mild symptoms.
MILD SYMPTOMS: Headache, nausea, loss of appetite, and mild shortness of breath with minimal exertion, difficulty sleeping, dizziness or lightheadedness, mild weakness, fatigue, a general unwell feeling.
SERIOUS SYMPTOMS: The inability to recover from shortness of breath with rest, severe persistent headache, low urine output, vomiting, confusion, delirium, loss of coordination. These require immediate descent as acclimatization will not take place at the same altitude.
The key is to trek slowly, carry a light pack and just take it easy. Allow your body the time it needs to acclimatize.
ARRIVAL INSTRUCTION
Upon your arrival at TIA International Airport, our company's representatives are stationed to pick you up. They will be holding your name sign along with the company's name in it. Our office representative will escort you to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Mera Peak Climbing with Amphu Lapcha La Pass has been one of my greatest expeditions ever. The weather was in our favor and we were able to summit the peak with no difficulty.

I'm a fitness freak. I can do almost anything. From running, to hiking, to weight lifting. I love fresh air and adventure. I often go to the mountains on weekends. I have been dreaming of Mera Peak for years, especially when I read about Mt. Mera Peak. Mera Peak is the tallest mountain in Nepal. It is a popular trekking destination with a beautiful landscape.

Mera Peak Climbing is a trip to the Himalayas. Mera Peak Climbing is a top-notch trekking trail that offers a more challenging climb and, in my opinion, more scenic views than many other such trails. The trekking trail is considered to be one of the most difficult and challenging treks in the Himalayas.
Even if you've never trekked before, it's not hard to do Mera Peak. The climb is relatively easy and worthwhile.

All I have to say is that I summited Mera in 2019. The finest firm to go with is Alpha Adventure; they were fantastic. Very well organized and offered me every opportunity to conquer this mountain, with breathtaking views. You'll be up for a struggle; the hardest part was dealing with altitude sickness. AAT had a PAC Chamber, which is excellent insurance if you're concerned.

This is my fifth trip to Nepal, and my first solo trip. I enjoy hiking in this country.
Without the assistance and care of my trekking guide and climbing guide, I would not have been able to reach Mera Peak this time. Despite the windy conditions, climbing guide brought me to the peak and took care of me. #SALUTE
