Mera Peak Climbing and Amphu Lapcha La Pass Trek

One of the difficult but worthwhile treks in the Khumbu region is the trip to Mera Peak via the Amphu Lapcha Pass. It covers the three Himalayan valleys in eastern Nepal's natural and cultural treasures. Both the beginning and end of it take place within Sagarmatha National Park's boundaries. That implies that you might see Himalayan wildlife and birds. The trek's main feature is the breathtaking Amphu Lapcha La pass, though you can also visit the mind-blowing Mera Peak. At 5845 meters above sea level, the Amphu Lapcha La Pass offers breathtaking Himalayan vistas.

With five of the top ten 8,000-meter mountains in the world—Everest, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga—as well as the crossing of the spectacular and difficult Amphu Laptsa Pass in the Himalayas, climbing Mera Peak, Nepal's highest trekking peak, is an incredibly diverse mountain adventure experience.

Today's trek involves a challenging ascent up the Kalo Himal Ridge in the Nau Lekh range. From here, we leave the Khumbu valley and join the Hinku valley, where there is a sense of unspoiled isolation. a lengthy, arduous ascent marked by an old cluster of Buddhist chortens. We keep moving forward till we reach Zatrwa La pass (4610m), where we are greeted in the customary Buddhist manner with prayer flags. After celebrating our first pass, the views across the Dudh Kosi towards Karyolung and the Lumding Himal are rather stunning on a clear day. In addition, we catch our first look at the surroundings across the undulating Hinku River Valley slopes. We go for less than an hour to Thuli Karkha, where we enjoy a well-earned night's rest.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 05: Trek to Kothe | Altitude: 4182m | Trek: 4-5 Hrs

The national flower of Nepal, the rhododendron, can be seen all over the gorgeous hills on another magnificent day. Short and mostly downhill, the trek. We will arrive at Gondishung, the summer herders' community on the west bank of the Hinku Drangka, after a few hours of walking. Beyond Gondishung, we pass the 200-year-old Lungsumgba Gompa, where Mera Peak and its approach road are carved into the rock. From here, a short and rather simple hike will take us to Thangnak, a summer grazing settlement.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 08: Acclimatization Day

To properly prepare for the ascent of Mera Peak, we have a full day set aside specifically for acclimatization and fundamental training. The course will also cover the most effective ways to use ropes for ascent and descent. Spend the night in Khare.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 09: Trek to High Camp | Altitude: 5,780m/18,964ft | Trek: 5-6 Hrs

At 7:00 AM: We hike up a difficult trail through a boulder field to the Mera Peak Base Camp. We carry on from here through the Mera La pass in order to get to the Mera High Camp. Our route follows a rocky terrain, which can be dangerous after a snowfall because of the area's numerous crevasses. We ascend to the rock band's summit, which is identified by a sizable cairn. Then establish a high camp and take in the magnificent views of Baruntse, Nuptse, Chamlang, the south face of Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 10: Summit Mera Peak, trek to Kongma Dingma | Altitude: 6,461m/21,199ft | Trek: 7-8 Hrs

For breakfast, we get up at 2:00 in the morning. It will be really cold at first, but as we move higher on the glacier and onto a rocky ridge, it becomes warmer. The large peaks were bathed in a stunning red glow when the sun's first rays arrived. As we gently ascend higher into the progressively thinner air, the approach remains uncomplicated. Behind the crest, the slope becomes steeper, and the peak is once again visible. Depending on the circumstances, we might attach to a fixed rope at the base of the last steep summit cone. Only a few meters separate us from the summit. We enjoy breathtaking views of the towering Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Cho-Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Nuptse, Chamlang, Baruntse, and others, from the summit. Then, after retracing our tracks, we stop at the high camp to take a break before continuing on to Kongma Dingma.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 11: Rest day in Kongma Dingma

Today in Kongma Dingma, we take the much-needed rest.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 12: Trek to Seto Pokhari | Altitude: 5,035m/16,520ft | Trek: 5-6 Hrs

On this particular day, we ascend into the higher yak pastures of this amazing, secluded valley. The valley floor is still wide and straight, rising only gradually to the peaks that lie ahead in a blind alley. We arrive at Seto Pokhari after traversing a valley and pitch up camp there for the night.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 13: Trek to Amphu Lapsha Base Camp South | Altitude: 5,650m/18,538ft | Trek: 5-6 Hrs

We travel to the Amphu Lapcha's southern base camp from Seto Pokhari. One of the most isolated areas of the Himalayas is this one. Our ascent to the Honku Basin is steady. It provides a sense of the Honku Valley's wildness.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 14: Trek to Amphu Lapcha Base Camp (North) via Amphu Lapcha La Pass | Trek: 6-7 Hrs

To face the pass while the snow is stable and before sunlight melts the snow, we begin our ascent early in the morning from the south base camp of Amphu Laptsa to the north base camp of Amphu Laptsa. Ropes for climbing are probably used anywhere it seems essential. The last ascent to Amphu Laptsa goes across shelves of snow. On the other side, a challenging drop-down fixed line to the moraine is waiting to be attempted.
Meal; Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 15: Trek to Pangboche | Trek: 6-7 Hrs

The route today is a downhill stroll along the moraine that leads to Chukkung, where the Island Peak trek begins. We are now introduced to Khumbu Region civilization in the untamed Hinku Valley, which is far away. A bit above the village of Pangboche, the Imja Khola merges with the Dudh Koshi river. In the Khumbu region, Pangboche is home to a renowned monastery that is thought to be the oldest. After several arduous days of arduous hiking and trekking, it is a thrill to arrive at Pangboche. In this populated community, staying the night in the cozy lodges is a warm welcome that is, in our opinion, well merited.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 16: Trek to Namche Bazar

We make our way down to Namche Bazaar from Pangboche. We stop at Tengboche Monastery, the highest monastery in the world, on the route.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 17: Trek to Lukla

Today's trek to Namche Bazaar starts on difficult ground. On a track that runs alongside the Dudh Koshi River, much of the journey is downhill. Before arriving in Lukla, we cross a number of suspension bridges and travel through a number of monasteries and settlements. We rest for the remainder of the day after arriving in Lukla because this is our final day in the Himalayas. Spend the night at Lukla.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 18: Fly back to Kathmandu

Due to safety concerns, flights to Kathmandu are often planned for the morning. We have the remainder of the day free to occupy ourselves as we wish after arriving at the capital city. In our hotel room, we could relax or go shopping for gifts for our loved ones. There will be a goodbye supper in the evening to commemorate the accomplishment of our Mera Peak Climbing and Amphu Labcha Pass. Spend the night in Kathmandu.
Meal: Breakfast

Day 19: Departure Day

We double-check our hotel room one final time to make sure we haven't forgotten to pack anything. Three hours prior to our scheduled flight, an Alpha Adventure Treks representative would transport you to Tribhuwan International Airport.

Tough Climb but Amazing !!!!

All I have to say is that I summited Mera in 2019. The finest firm to go with is Alpha Adventure; they were fantastic. Very well organized and offered me every opportunity to conquer this mountain, with breathtaking views. You'll be up for a struggle; the hardest part was dealing with altitude sickness. AAT had a PAC Chamber, which is excellent insurance if you're concerned.

Tough climb but awesome!!

This is my fifth trip to Nepal, and my first solo trip. I enjoy hiking in this country.
Without the assistance and care of my trekking guide and climbing guide, I would not have been able to reach Mera Peak this time. Despite the windy conditions, climbing guide brought me to the peak and took care of me. #SALUTE

Mera Peak Climbing 15 Days

Mera Peak Climbing is a trip to the Himalayas. Mera Peak Climbing is a top-notch trekking trail that offers a more challenging climb and, in my opinion, more scenic views than many other such trails. The trekking trail is considered to be one of the most difficult and challenging treks in the Himalayas.
Even if you've never trekked before, it's not hard to do Mera Peak. The climb is relatively easy and worthwhile.
